I use my debit card all of the time for all of my purchases basically. You know when you use them online it’s considered a credit charge. Okay, Well I placed an order with a company IN JULY whom I have ordered something from before. I order online quite frequently and I never had any problems. Well, they charged my account but I never received my order. Actually if I look at my account with them it’s on hold. I had called the company and they said they were having shipment problems. I said okay. So now it’s been past a month since I placed the order and I called again left a message, emailed them and left messages no response. I called to cancel my order and now their voice mail is full on both numbers and no response from emails. I called the bank to get this reversed and explained the situation the woman said since I used my debit card I can’t reverse the charge. This is B.S. to me. I need advice. Thanks.
Thanks for the advice. This sucks because I have no idea what's going on with this company. I have never had any problems with ordering anything before.
I don't have any credit cards because I am paying them off and will be done with them. Financially I don't need a credit card. I am not going to live off one either. I did and it put me in a bond. If I cannot afford it I don't need one.
that really sucks…i use my debit card online alot too…
i guess just make sure you know who your dealing with
What is my liability for a fradulent charge made on my Mastercard credit card?
Author: admin // Category: reverse charge callsMy credit card bank called me for two suspicious charges , over $ 800 each, made on my Mastercard (by the same person, for identical merchandise, for same amount), which I confirmed were fraudulent. Bank were able to get the merchant to reverse charges on one transaction, but for the second one, they asked me to call the merchant directly for giving the credit on my card. I did just that, but the merchant asked me to work the credit thru my bank ! My bank, in turn, has asked me to provide them with a notarized affidavit, for them to persue this fraud investigation. I am in the middle of preparing the requested documents, but where does this leave me, as far as my liability for this fraudulent charge ?
You gotta jump trhough their hoops - it can take up to 120 days for everything to clear. The worst part about it is that it can affect your credit rating for that period of time depending on your limit. But yes, the aformentioned $50 can be considered as a deductable is to insurance.
