The following telephone conversations are intercepted calls from people trying to reach a recorded “whats playing” line at a movie theater.

-What in the world!-

This lady is a caught a little off guard when RBCP & Murd0c curse at her.

-Nosy Bit*h-

Murd0c and RBCP are sitting there talking and this lady is just sitting there listening. Finally she decides to reveal herself.

-Pr0n Theater-

This sicko lady wants to take her little kids to a pr0n movie so murd0c threatens to call the cops on her.

-Let me talk to the manager-

This lady demands to speak to the manager. She doesn’t win. This is the same nosy bit*h that was eavesdropping on our conversation earlier.

-Cabin By The Lake-

This girl calls in about some movie times and then tries to get murd0c in trouble when she thinks she’s talking to a manager.

-Over Seventeen?-

This girl calls in and CLAIMS she’s 58 years old, trying to get into an R rated movie.

-Attitude Problem-

This lady calls in to complain about rude employees answering the phone. RBCP sets her straight and she obviously understands his point because she thanks him.

-Fuck the Internet-

RBCP suggests alternatives to calling the recording line and this guy doesn’t care about alternatives.

I'm under 16. I was recently 'stranded' in town the other day, with no money. phone out of battery. It was about 9pm at night, and my parents were out so a reverse charge call wouldn't work.
In the end i walked about 5-6 miles home, got back about 10.30
If i was to ask a police officer to give me a lift home (not necessarily just in this situation), is the officer obliged to do so? bearing in mind i'm a 'minor'
And if they aren't obliged to do so, whats the likelyhood they would do anyway!

There are no hard and fast rules about this as far as I'm aware.

If I could have a pound for every drunken idiot or lazy person that has flagged me down for a lift home then I’d be a lot richer than I am today. Some people seem to think that the Police service is there to be used and abused for things like this for 'bailing out' people who are responsible enough to get themselves into a situation in the first place but not responsible enough to get themselves out of the situation, when they find they are 'stranded' and then expect the Police service to be 'obliged' to give them a lift home. Quite frankly, we have better things to do.

All too often I get asked to give someone a lift home who's spent all their money on beer and not got enough for a taxi and you can imagine the response that that gets!

If however a minor has been in direct contact with the Police for any reason, I.E as a witness, victim or suspect for a crime, then the Police would have a duty of care for the person and then would be obliged to give them a lift home. This would however be limited to the officers dealing with that person.

In the situation that you are describing, I would make all reasonable efforts to get someone to pick you up and as a very last resort, I would give you a lift home but only if I was advised to do so by a supervisor.

At the end of the day, at 16 you are old enough to sort yourself out and if your parents are responsible enough, then they would never allow you to be in the situation where you would require a Police officer to have to give you a lift home.

How do I make a reverse charge call from my home phone, if its cut off. I have a dailing tone so it needs to be a 0800 number.
