Author: admin // Category: reverse charge callsI had a problem with Paypal, Bought and item on ebay and they charged my bank account instead of my credit crad (which I entered at the time of checkout). I’ve seen online that they do this repeatedly to other costumers because they get very high fees when they chanrge credit cards.
Well…. the problem was that I had just transfered a bunch of money and my checking acct at wells fargo was almost empty. The charge from paypal overdrafted my account and I noticed 1 day later. By then I had $140 dlls in overdraft fees and a huge negative balance.
I called Wells Fargo Immediatly and disputed the charge from paypal and they told me it was going to take about 10 day. to resolve.
My question is… do you think they’ll reverse those fees? It was an unauthorized transaction. I even called paypal and they refused to help. They literally said “you have to call your bank, I can’t reverse it from here.” As I was just asking to reverse that charge and charge my credit card on file (LIKE THEY WERE SUPOPSED TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE).
I’ve been a customer of Wells Fargo for 6 years now, and I have my student loans with them. Altought I feel confortable with the service I don’t like their policy o crazy fees (which is very very rare on me).
do you think that if I threaten to leave and refinance my loans with somebody else they’ll reverse all the fees? I mean, it wasn’t my fault in the first place, but neither Paypal nor Wells Fargo have been very helpfull right now.
Patpal had my checking account number because I sell cars on ebay and they deposit to that account.
They will usually refund the charges once the dispute is resolved. Bring them proof that you submitted your credit card for payment - do you have a receipt showing the card number you wanted charged? I used to work for them, and we would give a provisional credit to your account pending the outcome. Of course that was years ago, and probably not an option in today’s world. Your best bet is to go into your local office and talk to them in person. That will get you better and more personal results than a phone call.
You may be able to negotiate at least a partial refund of those charges.
As far as threatening to leave, well, I can tell you that from my experience, they’ll just pat you on the head and wish you a good life.

There are no truly free sites as cell phone records are NOT public records. To get the information requires that records searches be performed by a legitimate agency and they DO charge for this. You will find all kinds of sites that claim to be "free" but all you will get for free is the city and state. I have tried my personal cell phone number in many of these sites and they do not give correct info even at that. They usually come back and tell me that it is a landline number, which I know it is not
