i need to call my Bf on a reverse charge call
he lives in US..
Does any one know the number to reverse the charge.. he said its ok to do it x

In all honesty, reverse charge calls ("collect calls" in U.S.) are very very expensive and you should only use them as a very last resort or in an emergency. You could end up having your boyfriend charged up to £2 per minute.

Instead, you should consider buying a pre-paid International phone card which will give you significantly discounted rates for calling overseas, say for example 2 or 3p / minute.

Even calling direct would be significantly less than a reverse charge, say 10 or 15p / minute.

I know the number to call to australia is 1800-reverse but that is only incoming calls. is it the same for outgoing?

I just got skype! and made a call to my cellphone and it worked! But i didn’t put any money on my account. how does this work? is it reverse charges or is calling phones free on skype?
I made 2 calls it still works and it say i have $0.00 credit and it still works
5 calls and it still works! is this normal? it STILL tells me i have $0.00 on my account but lets the call go through! im confused!

The first call to a Phone is free, after that they cost credits/money.

But any calls to other Skype users are free.

I have no credit but I want to phone my friend, who’s phone is on a contract that gives him unlimited free calls. if I used 0800 reverse to reverse the charges to his phone, would it still cost him a lot or would it be free?

If I answer my telephone when it rings can I get charged for the call.
I have a normal house phone and pay line rental and I pay when i make phonecalls. No problem.
But are there any circumstances when i can get charged for the call.

last night at like 4am me and my boyfriend were asleep when he got a phone call. it was a reverse charge call with a female saying ‘please pick up i really need to talk to you’ and she was crying. he accepted the call and was like who is this and she said its monique.. he said i dont know a monique who are you and she said remember me from yesterday? and he hung up straight away… i was half asleep at the time so i didnt think anything of it but i just remembered it and am pretty worried..

In all seriousness don’t they look to be a bit gutless saying they want to stay anonymous? If your man enough to make a statement like that then be man enough to put your name to it. Timana Tahu certainly did not shirk the issue like these soft Knights players.
